The 4th transnational learning event in Estonia 9th-13th April 2017
The 4th transnational learning event took place in Viimsi, Estonia from the 9th to 13th of April 2017.
12 pupils from Portugal, 12 pupils from Finland, and 6 pupils from Turkey with accompanying teachers attended the meeting. 25 Estonian pupils hosted the guests in their homes but all in all 50 Estonian pupils were involved in this learning event through different activities.
The main focus of this meeting was to learn, teach and create new learning applications.
Participating pupils prepared app presentations before the meeting. The app presentation workshops took place in two parallel classrooms and the the Portuguese team who presented Mysimpleshow and the Turkish team who presented Mindmeister were voted the best. Other apps that were presented were Elevate, Buncee, Nearpod, Veemee and Thinglink .
The whole group visited Tallinn Technical University were specialists taught pupils how to write applications in the PhoneGap environment. Back at Viimsi the pupils created different solutions how to learn Finish, Turkish, Portuguese and Estonian in the LearningApps environment. The winning team members were David from Portugal, Sandra from Finland, Christopher and Dione from Estonia. You can see their app using this QR code:
In Viimsi pupils and teachers participated in the Loquiz orienteering game which was also created during the ICT in USE project. Everybody could get to know Viimsi a lot better while discovering the area and answering questions through the Loquiz app.
